New Toy

Gennie just bought a GPS navigator for herself as an early B-Day present instead of waiting until next weekend. So far we agree that it was a good investment.

Garmin nĂ¼vi 750 – Listen to MP3s & ogg formats, audio books, view photos, transmit spoken street names over stereo speakers with FM transmitter, POIs include: gas, Police, Fire, Hospital, add more with free software or buy an SD card with detailed POIs with reviews and ratings of all known businesses in their database.

Who knows what the replacement model will offer this year at the comparable price: Bluetooth, lane assist, traffic. I’ll bet that the models that currently do that at the $500-$800 price range will drop to the $400 range. What else could they add? E-books, gas prices, Wi-Fi, internet browser? Might as well be a UMPC…

Family Beach Trip

We took a very short family trip to Huntington Beach on Saturday to try and take some family pictures for our Christmas cards. We will be posting the pics later tonight or later this week. The kids had some time to play at the beach and in the grassy area next to where we parked. I had also made a comittment to myself to read through Twilight before going to see it at the midnight showing on Thursday with some friends and I am happy to announce that on the way home from the beach I finished it. This was a huge accomplishment seeing as how I only started it on Friday!!! I guess I was a little obsessed! I also started New Moon on the way back, however I am taking this one a little slower so that the family gets some attention too, LOL. I can now see what my friends were talking about and how obsessed some people can get.

Gennie got a new phone...well, sort of

Well, after a couple months of issues with my blackberry I FINALLY made a warranty claim with Verizon and I now have a new phone. I am soooooo happy. I had to get a sliver one because they don't carry the pink one like I already had but oh well. I don't like pink anyway, right?!? I still have to get a protective cover for it, but it is on it's way. I ordered a super cute Tinkerbell skin for it. I can't wait until it comes!!! YEAH!!!

J Genther Family Stats

This is the story of Joseph and Gennie Genther. Although the two had crossed paths several times before, the first chance meeting was on Thursday, September 5th, 2001, at the Riverside Institute's weekly volleyball activity. The two talked for a while with a mutual friend, Tyler Stout, and with Gennie’s best friend Tara Bourland (Martin, now). Tara and Gennie had plans to drive to a YSA dance with a few other friends the next night and Joseph said he would love to go with the group. It was decided that Joseph would pick Gennie up and they would drive to Tara's house to meet up with the rest of the group. The first date occurred the following Monday, a double date with Tara and Tyler, bowling in Moreno Valley. From that date forward the two were inseparable. Joseph proposed with a beautiful heat shaped diamond ring on Friday, November 2nd in Laguna Beach, CA on a secluded portion of the beach. Four months later the Joseph Genther family began on March 16th, 2002. On May 20th, 2003 Joseph and Gennie welcomed Ashton James into the world. Ashton has taught the two very much and they love to see how fast he has grown. Three years later Rebekah Lynne was born and she has been a diva ever since. She is almost a carbon copy of mommy minus her curly blonde hair from daddy and her sparkling blue eyes from grandpa. Joseph and Gennie have been happily married for over 6 years and are still loving every minute.
